School & Library Visits

Saundra Mitchell is available for school and library visits. She is open to speaking to both small and large groups, on topics ranging from writing as a profession, to specific themes contained within her books. She is open and willing to create a presentation to fit your curriculum, so your students and patrons get the most out of the visit as possible!

As she grew up in Indiana, and understands that author visits there are rare, she offers reduced rates for schools and libraries within the state. Within Warren Township, 1 hour visits are free. Within 50 miles of Indianapolis, 1 hour visits are $35.00. 50 miles or more outside of Indianapolis, but within Indiana, 1 hour visits are $75.00.

Skype Visits

Saundra Mitchell is available for Skype visits anywhere in the world, for classrooms and libraries. She is available to talk to your patrons or students about subjects as general as writing as a business or as specific as her own novels or YA novels as a category.

Skype visits are most successful when the host is flexible. If you’re hosting a large gathering, the author may not be able to hear individual questions. Having a proctor available to repeat questions for the author will make the visit go more smoothly.

A 30-minute visit is free. Rate after 30 minutes is $100.00/hour, payable at least 72 hours before the visit. Time is counted from the scheduled start time, not the beginning of the call, so please make sure you’re ready to begin the visit at the appointed time. Ms. Mitchell is in the Eastern Standard Time Zone, so please take that into consideration when booking.

Ms. Mitchell will be available to make one (1) technology test calls before the visit to check the connection and set up. Visits canceled due to technology failure will only be refunded if there was a test call. Technology support at the host site is the responsibility of the host, not the author.
